  • how would this go charging a macbook/chromebook?

    • Usb C it's 20W and Usb A it's 12W so I don't think that would be enough. Of course I don't know what's the charging Wattage for macbook or Chromebook.
      Average Wattage for a Chromebook it's 45W and average for Macbook 60W - 96W.

      • +7

The USB-C port has a max output of 33W.

        • Oh yes, sorry it's only when you use both usb C and usb A that's 20W + 12W.

      • It can charge my wife's Macbook Air M1 easy no issue.

    • +1

I believe the Macbook Air M1 is about 33W charge so perfect for that (if not using the usb A also).

    • how would this go charging a macbook/chromebook?

I think you will find that a 33W Anker will not meet your needs.

    • -2

would not recommend, it would charge very slowly while you aren't using it. No chance while in use. Also this already runs hot charging my phone, can't imagine it'd be good trying to charge a macbook.

    • +2

for the M1 air 2020, it will charge fine.
Source: Tried a 20W charger on my m1 air 2020 macbook and it worked

      • Agreed, anything above 15W should work fine for MacBook Airs.
Source: I have a HP monitor that outputs 15W through its USB-C display input, and it works fine charging my MacBook Air to 100% and maintaining the full charge.

        • +1

My Chromebooks runs And charges nicely on even less than 15W.

Runs on medium brightness fine on 5V @ 8W-12W , any more slowly charges it whilst in use.

Asus 12" FHD IPS C302C and on bottom of laptop it says 20V - 2.25A/45W

    • It will work just fine but will be slower to charge than the original charger.
I have a 20W charger and have been using it for a couple of years with my Chromebook. No problems at all.

W Anker all day and all night

    • I heard that some people banned them in November, but I have no idea why

These super fast charge my s23

    • +3

Just fyi for those unaware, Samsung Super Fast Charge is at 25watts.

If you want 45watts of charging then it should state Super Fast Charge 2.0 - which this would not support

      • +2

yes this super fast charges my base s23 so 25w @ 3amps

    Cannot add to cart

    • I can add to cart

      • They must have fixed it,

    • The C - port max gives 25W…

  • Good charger, I bought 2 of this (black) previously, two of them is better a 4 port in my use case. Though they take up 2 sockets, but that's kind of the point.

  • +1

My Pixel 7 does not like the USB-C port in this. Constantly stops and starts charging.

    • +2

If you have not already, try another cable, cleaning the contacts etc. I have a 7 Pro and it works fine on this charger. But I experienced similar on another Anker charger, and the cable was the culprit. But the same cable worked normally with other phones, and a laptop.

  • Anyone tried this on a pixel 8 or pro

  • +1

Really compact little charger with enough output (and ports) for most things. I bought a few from that last deal and have been very impressed with them.

  • How much do you get out of the usb a alone? Is it still 33w?

  • I have bought one of these previously from Amazon where the USB C port doesn't work, only USB A does.
