  • Existing customers can choose to renew their current plan to get this.

I know someone on a grandfathered $10 per 28 day plan, who would love this. Anyone know if such plans are eligible, or is the minimum spend $30 per 28 days?

  • So just to check - being unlocked you can you buy this with a cheap $30 sim and add the sim from your current phone to it?

    • dont see why not

at this price tho pay 30 bucks more for the lenovo neo 30

What is a neo 30? That brings up a monitor when I search?

        • I think he might mean the Motorola Edge 30 Neo, but I can't find an in-stock price. Lenovo bought Motorola a while ago iirc, and that's the only "neo 30" phone that comes up when I search.

      • Thanks! I'll check it out.

      • The Edge 30 Neo was cleared out several months ago

    • Yes did that a few weeks ago with this deal.

So to order Pixel 6a from amaysim, we need to purchase/opt-in for a mobile sim plan as well?
Can't we just grab solo mobile phone?

    • Yes, that's correct, must bundle a plan with the phone.

    • That’s way the cookie crumbles. Seller want you to torture ya on floptus for long agnosing 30 days and nights

      • Pretty sure there's no requirement for you to activate the plan, in order to receive the network-unlocked P6a. Use the plan as a 28/90/365 day hotspot if you wish.

  • Isn't $389 better deal at Kogan/Dick Smith?

      Not local stock

    • It's now $369 there, but now that it is marked as a "presale", and sold by "electronics superstore" - are they another separate company to kogan?

      • Update: $379 (for members).

        I'm also skeptical of them

  • Regarding having to bundle the $30 SIM to buy the phone, I noticed the SIM cards are on special on the front page, with the 32GB plan for $15 for the first 28 days, yet when checking out you are forced to buy the SIM for $30 (without bonus).
Does this fall under multiple pricing for the same service, and what would Amaysim need to do if it does?

try chat, or call them and see if you can get the half priced deal

      • Thanks - I brought this up with them and they said they "comply with multiple pricing rules" as because they "bundle" this somehow gets them off the hook?
Anyhow they refused to do anything about it - I will check with Fair Trading.

  • so you can get the phone and join 1 month and quit?

Thanks for this deal. I went ahead and ordered a Pixel 6a. Have been looking around for a work phone that isn’t too expensive. Was evaluating with the Moto G84 decided to go with the slightly more expensive pixel due to:
    - More trust in getting Android updates with 14 now and likely 15 next year. Even after that the custom ROM community for pixel phones is big so likely many years of updates from their end.
    - Much better performance than G84 and seeing how demanding outlook and teams app have gotten I fear that the Snapdragon 695 will soon crumble under that load
    - Pixel is a bit more compact and due to work phone I’ll carry around two most days so compact is better here.

    • So how did this work out for you with the plan, did you just turn off auto renew in your account settings?

      • +1

Phone is ok. Great thing that straight away I got an update to Android 14. Since then no issues really with the phone. Impressed with what a sub $400 phone can do nowadays.

I have not even activated the SIM yet. Just put an existing Boost SIM I had into it. But good point and will make sure to uncheck the auto renew.

  • Can you price match this with OW?

    • Unsure but haven’t seen any officeworks around me with Stock availability.
