Android app to quick transfer selected text from PC to phone

I am looking for a (Free) app that can send the selected text from PC to my android phone Nexus i9250. Lets says I have some text in Notepad or Wordpad, and I wanna send it to my phone's clipboard, which app can provide this functionality ? Sending it via Gmail is not an efficient way of doing it.

Chrome extension (ChrometoPhone) only works when you are sending text from a webpage which is either http or https. If I try opening a txt file with Chrome browser and try sending the text to my phone, it gives an error saying "Only http or https pages supported".

Can you please suggest any such app ?

    Does exactly what you want. Just copy and paste text into the web browser and it appears on your phone.

    You could use AirDroid. This also offers lots of other nice features too (like receiving and replying to SMS on your PC.
