Moving from Tangerine after FTTP Upgrade

I've been with tangerine for 7-8 months after FTTP upgrade. Is there anyone here with experience with Tangerine moving from them before the 12 months period? Will they pass the NBN upgrade fee?

Do I need to move to a higher speed plan (ie. 250/25) when moving to another telco (planning to move to superloop) to avoid the fee?

  I did this 10 months or so ago, when I signed up with tangerine I made sure to screenshot all the terms and conditions, no where did it state that there was a penalty for leaving within 12 months.

  Rolled out at the end of the 6 months, no issues, no charges

      i think Tangerine have the conditions to notify with 1 month prior to. No harm to create a ticket on the portal to notify them one month before anw

  Tangerine charged me for a full month as my Cancellation day was the same as my renewal day
  its in their terms and conditions apparently

  be mindful to cancel early enough

  Confirmed with them that as long I cancel it before the end of the billing period, there's no fee payable
