Hi,
I am currently on circles.life plan and want to shift to another network provider due to expiry of current mobile sim plan.
On researching, TPG and iiNet are offering $10/m promo for first 6 months.
TPG mentions a Port-Out fee of $11 (https://www.tpg.com.au/sites/tpg/files/doc/Brochure-TPG-Mobi…)
iiNet also vaguely mentions port out fees but it's unclear. (https://assets.iinet.net.au/website/about/legal/cra/iinet-gr…) (5.12 We may charge you a fee to Port the phone number to another carrier or carriage service provider.)
I am confident that I will be moving out to a different provider after the expiry of 6 months promo. Hence, not considering TPG due to port out fees.
Can someone please confirm the same for iiNet if there is a port out fees or not?
Thankyou,
It'll be a CAT M port which will be free and cannot be charged for. You can be charged for an ISDN/PSTN number if it's not a CAT A and is a CAT C
