Kala are a well known ukulele brand who make good quality instruments.

This uke is concert sized (soprano, concert, tenor, baritone - in size order). Adults typically pick a concert or tenor to allow more finger room between the frets.
This model has an in built tuner and allows amp plug in. Mine arrived today, and it works well. Has a nice, full sound.

This model would be suitable for a responsible child, adult beginner, or more advanced player who doesn't want to spend too much.

Fantastic price for this model!

Skymusic were willing to price match if they are easier for you to buy from, but whitehorse music has free shipping over $99.

    It says it fits any kala concert bag or case, but there shouldn't be any difference between bag brands. The electronic parts don't stick out to need any special accommodation.

      It's safe to assume it's laminate if there's no mention of solid.

      Haven't been playing uke for a few years but surprised how good the cheaper Chinese made solid and solid top ukes sound in the shops. If Kala is still selling their laminates at inflated prices by their reputation, they will lose their lower and mid end market share. The best resource is from Got A Ukulele.
