Bunnings Warehouse Power Pass

Ive got a bunnings power pass card as a tradie. I can't seem to find a list of what the discount excludes. Does anyone know what products/categories you won't get a discount on? Thanks!

Just install the PowerPass app and then you can see what the discounts are.

    • I wish I knew this a few days ago. Bought a new lawn mower and was tossing up between Flybuys and PowerPass as the person at the checkout said I could only use one. Rolled the dice on PowerPass hoping for 5% off and got 0% off!

you can refund immediately and switch to flybuys

Using powerpass on some items may void warranty, something to consider…

        • Thanks for the tip, is that just for scanning the card even though I didn't get a discount?

They like to say this… though i'd like to see them defend this in court.

  • don't know about a list but I think when u scan with some app u can see whether it's eligible?

  • It depends on what your business is and how much you spend I believe.

  • Generally a discount on anything that can be used to build or renovate, unless its discounted already.

    • Doesn’t it vary depending on what industry you’re in?

A quick look at the app shows it varies a lot between product types and sometimes includes cleaning supplies, indoor potting mix, hdmi cables, wd40, rodent control, chlorine, engine oil, pedestal fans, desk lamps.

      • Doesn’t it vary depending on what industry you’re in?

        no

      • Doesn’t it vary depending on what industry you’re in?

        That is my understanding.

  • It is to my understaind that it depends what category you are in for your PowerPass. I think "handyman" gets on average 5% discount. But if you are a builder, you might get 10% of building materials and only 2% on other stuff.

Also, go to https://trade.bunnings.com.au/ and login, then it tells you the PowerPass price for products. It doesn't tell you the discount % though.

    • It doesn't tell you the discount % though.

      The app does.

      • Where? On the receipt, yes. Where else does it show? I just see the Retail and then my price…….

        • Where?

When you search for an item.

It shows you the Powerpass price as well as the normal price.

          • @jv: Yeah, but not the % discount you get. Thats only on the receipt.

              @geekcohen:

but not the % discount you get.

The two amounts are literally on the screen in front of you.

              You can't work it out?

              • @jv: Yes, I could, but not off the top of my head and I am using the device I would be using to work out the % discount through the calculator app.

                  Why not?

Just be aware than for some products, in particular Ryobi, if you checkout using Powerpass the sale is classed as an item to be used for trade purposes, and you only get a 1 year warranty.
As a normal/regular checkout you get a domestic checkout that gives you a 5+ years warranty.

    • Does that apply to Ozito too?

offft, you just shot yourself with the warranty by scanning your powerpass

  • Also depends on the brand.
Brands no-one else stock normally get zero discount.
