Customer Retention Offer: Audible Premium Plus $8/Month for 3 Months Upon Cancelling (Usually $16.45/Month) @ Audible AU

40

The Audible sub I claimed from Maccas Monopoly in order to get this deal was about to renew and I got hit with this deal upon cancelling. Nearly took the bait but realised I'd better listen to all the audiobooks that are on YouTube before I start paying for ones that I have slim odds of actually listening to lol.

That’s a suckers deal… hodl out long enough and they’ll send you an email for 99cents for 2 months.

    • Yep, that's what I'm on.

      • can confirm too! haha

  • Thanks. I took this suckers deal.

For anyone with Spotify Premium - the amount of audiobooks they have recently started uploading as part of your existing membership makes Audible dead in the water soon.

    • You can only access 15 hours per month unfortunately, then you have to pay more. But is a much better option for those who 15 hours is enough.

    • I havr Spotify premium via the Türkiye deal. I can't seem to find where all their audio books listed. Anyone know where to go. Im on android app

For now Spotify are only providing it in some countries…I think UK, US and Australia. You need an account registered in one of those countries.

  • If I cancel my audible. Can I continue to listen to books that already bought?

      Yep

      • Strangely, I found 3 or 4 books in my library became "unavailable" after my sub lapsed and came back after I signed up for another trial.

I've now downloaded my library with a 3rd party app to avoid such issues.

        • There are some 'free books' whilst youre subscribed that will no longer be available after you cancel.

Any books you purchase with a credit or $$$ will be available after cancelling. But yeah, third party apps will allow you to save a bunch of the free ones.

          • @0lllllll0: Mine were definitely books I purchased. I bought books 1 to 7 in a series and strangely 2, 4 and 5 were "unavailable". They magically reappeared after my new trial started.

            • @gadgetguy: I would message customer service if thats the case. They'll likely fix the issue and give you a free credit or something. They're usually pretty good like that.

  • For now I paused my subscription for 90 days.

If I finish my bought books by then, can either cancel and get lower per month offer or rejoin using different ID later with any other better offer running that time.
