Was looking around for coupons and found this on the internets.. Works on checkout, not much saving on the entry level bikes, but more if you intend to get a better road bike.

Was about to purchase a condor instead of a Woodworm White Lightning (previously owned it, but unfortunately, was stolen).
What are your thoughts?
@ andykillz, can you please expand as I was also looking to get one and I had only read pretty good reveiws.
I've heard they're cheap/crap quality. can't vouch for this personally. Also interested in what andyskillz has to say
Buy Reid if you don't want to spend time on eBay/Gumtree/forums to scout on potential deals, at least they have a shop front and warranty+service (not sure about this, but I assume you should have it buying first hand.)
I've tried my friend's Griffon, they use cheap steel, which means they are extremely heavy. Cheap pedals it comes with, which I recommend buying some <$20 BMX pedal from eBay and replace them, at least the BMX ones provide larger surface for your feet and feels more sturdy. The wheel set are also very heavy, but good for what it meant to do if you are not picky.
So yes they are cheap with mediocre components to get it to this price point, so if you have more spare cash, and like a nicer bike stay away from them. If you have no knowledge of bike componets, or don't wish to research on the current used market prices, get the Reid, you sit, you pedal, the bike moves and brakes when you press the brakes. Some eBay finds I've seen is around $500-$1200 used - Giant Defy aluminium frame with Shimano Tiagra and above groupsets for example. But buying used, practice Caveat Emptor .
One important thing to take not which I have noticed ever since Reid got popular: because of their popularity, many bike thieves target them as they know people will buy them for cheap because its cheap already. And most bike got stolen because they use the FREE cable lock that Reid gave them (another friend got his condor stolen using that cable lock), I recommend buying proper U-lock like from Kryptonite or the other better brands. $70 Locks sound expensive but at least you are not paying $200+ to replace a lost bike.
I have a Reid Condor and I'm pretty happy with it. The only thing I don't like is the old style shifters on the racing handle bars. You get what you paid for but my Condor is pretty good value for money I think.
I used to have a Condor too. Nice bike, but oddly positioned (and dangerous) shifters.
Got stolen when I left it at a bus stop.
Thanks Hide/simonpieman,maldrat, well there goes my plan of buyig a Reid, I dont mind getting a slightly heavier bike(at worst you only end up becoming fitter moving a heavier bike:P ), but damn me if I get a shifter that doesn't work well. That'd be damn curse:(
I have a reid condor bike. I'd suggest staying away from it. Better off getting a decent second hand off gumtree.
Still nice find on coupon
