Cheapest price I have seen for 1000mg x 400 capsules.
You have to buy two bottles (400 capsules in each of them) to get this price.

I get the Vitacost Mega EFA from vitacost which contain 400mg/EPA and 200mg/DHA per capsule . These Healthmax are 180mg/EPA and 120mg/DHA per capsule so you would need to take roughly twice as many . I take 4 of the vitacost a day to give me 1600mg of EPA and 800mg of DHA a day . To get the same benefit from these Healthmax I would need to take ~7 of these Healthmax caps . The Vitacost capsules are smaller than any of the other brands I have tried but contain a higher level of DHA/EPA . I'm sure these work out cheap but theres not that much in it and I'd much rather only have to take 4 instead of 7 . But if your on a budget then these would be fine I guess and local which is a bonus .
The Vitacost cost about $25 delivered for 2x240caps with the buy one get 50% off promotion and the $10 off for new customers . By my calculations thats 20.83c/serve for vitacost and the healthmax work out to be 15.8c/serve but you only need to take 4 caps instead of 7 . So a good deal if you don't mind the extra swallowing .+1 for the calculation
Great information..cheers.
I'd rather swallow as less a possible! Well thats what she said anyway
Interesting info.
Have you considered krill? I have been told it is better than fish oil, but I see its more expensive. Wondering if it is worth it.
The active ingredients in Fish oil are EPA and DHA which krill oil is very low in . From what I've read it's a giant rip . Krill does contain certain compounds that normal fish oil is low in but the health benefits are not as proven . Stick with DHA and EPA content when shopping for fish oil .
troyww: Thanks for the info!
I'm sure my work place sells 1000mg 2 bottles for $25. I can't remember how many you get in a bottle though.
