This is more for anyone in WA since an earlier post of this product (the mwave one) meant you had to pay for a $25+ delivery fee to get it to WA. Umart offers free pick up (You can choose to pick up from Balcatta, Belmont or Osborne park) and since you're spending $319 you also get Umart premium (I just got it so I've got no clue whether its useful).
In regards to the monitor itself, I must clarify that this is the newer (by a year) AOC Q27G2S/EU NOT THE AOC Q27G2S apparently there are some differences according to displayspecifications.com so it might mean they are use a different panel or they have simply updated the firmware with some better calibration and some other gimmicks. So I'm not sure if reviews of the AOC Q27G2S mean anything in regards to the AOC Q27G2S/EU, however its likely that they are basically the same.
I haven't had it for long but so far everything seems good (no dead pixels or any other defects fortunately), however I can't seem to get the driver from the official website to work correctly and it caused the screen to go dim but not the cursor and would only go back to normal when setting it to HDR in windows 11 settings (I have no clue why and unfortunately HDR mode disables most of the monitors settings). Honestly I'm not an IT wizard so I just went back to the generic one windows gave me.
The settings I ended up with so far are:
Luminance
Contrast: 50
Brightness: 34
Eco mode: Standard
Gamma: Gamma1
DCR: off
HDR mode: off
Color Setup
Colour temp: User
DCB mode: off
DCB demo: off
Red: 38
Green: 46
Blue: 46
Gaming Setup
Game Mode: off
Overdrive: Medium
I found the colour settings from here https://hub.displaycal.net/forums/topic/aoc-q27g2s-eu-calibr… I don't know enough on the subject so I don't know if these adjustments work for every AOC Q27G2S/EU monitor.
Best of luck and I hope my first post is useful :) and thanks everyone posting here for the deals!
A very well done first post!
