Help Using Qantas FF Points on International Routes

Calling for assistance from the ozbargain community…

I have an exciting trip later this year and as a true ozbargainer have churned through CCs for points.

I have already booked the return flights from Melb -> Santiago. Now I am looking to book internal flights in South America, eg. Rio De Janerio to Medellin. I know that LATAM can do this route which is part of the Qantas/ ONEWORLD alliance but the Qantas web-page won't let me search or book that flight.

Anyone know if I can use my qantas points for booking flights around South America?

On a side note any South America suggestions are warmly welcomed

    You will need to ring and check availability for reward flights

    You’ll have to call to book but you can find availability online. Use the Qantas multi city search and put the first leg in as a domestic Aus flight and then the second leg in as RIO-MDE, looks to be about 30k points.

    If you’re actually going to take the domestic flight you searched for you could book it online
