Hi folks,

We've secured more stock of 4070 Ti, this time from MSI, to launch this version of the most popular deal of the Boxing Day sale - the Ryzen 5 7500F RTX 4070 Ti PC. This will ship in the Antec AX61 Elite case, and will be produced after we get through our Boxing Day builds along with other January orders.

We're making great progress - plenty of people will be getting dispatch notifications. Generally speaking the R5 5600 RTX 3080, R5 7500F RTX 4070 Ti, R7 7800X3D 4080/4090 and i7 13700F (with free 14700F upgrade!) RTX 4080 builds are shipping first, followed by the i9 4080/4090 builds. Your patience is appreciated as we work through the volume from the busiest time of year!

You're still building the backlog of systems that were ordered during the boxing day deals? Far out… how many orders did you guys receive for those?

      More like TechSlow amirite 😏

        You should be a comedian.

That was funnier than anything Amy Schumer has ever said.

        • +1

I don't know, doing a set in front of some NFT Bros and asking if NFTs stands for "Not F**king Tonight" was pretty funny.

          • -1

            @bobalot: Hahahah! 😀

            Yeah, that's pretty good.

            Where can I watch that?

A lot, but it is more to do with the slacker brands and distributors and these things called Holly Daze (sp?) where they were…cl…osed…or something like that? Never heard of it but apparently they’re both things. So yeah we’ve been building through that first week but the bulk has come in this so it’s pump time

      • Is there any eta on how long these orders will take to dispatch then?

        • A friend of mine who ordered 2 weeks ago hasn't heard peep from them yet. Even emailed (I think on Wednesday) and is yet to receive a reply. It's fair to give them the benefit of the doubt that they're quite under the pump.

Dang, these are some stellar PCs for the price… tempted to upgrade…

    • Super series just launched, and this is maybe a $1050 4070 Ti. Value isn't there (though other vendors are worse).

      • Cheapest 4070 Ti I found is $1149 on eBay. It's a Gigabyte one. Brand newm

        • They've been on sale lately for $950-$1050, and what stock that's left will go for lower soon.

          • @jasswolf: I don’t see why there will be a rush for them to go lower, the AUD pricing for the 4070s and 4070ti s are not competitive enough to change the sale prices of the 4070ti.

            • @mzhan21: No one's paying those MSRPs for a base model card. The 4070 Ti S is meant to compete with the 7900 XT, not the 4070 Ti.

          • @jasswolf: You'll find on those $1050 deals a lot of people got the wrong cards and had to send them back, someone received a 4060ti in their recent $950 deal instead and doesn't seem like anyone else has received theirs. Wouldn't really count those deals.

            • @lookingforadeal7: None of that discounts that the 7900 XT goes for under $1199 in regular sales, and that's what the Ti Super competes with.

That alone easily pushes the 4070 Ti to $1049.

              • -1

@jasswolf: 4070ti and supers sell well even with 7900 xt on "regular" sales, theres no need to retailers to cut pricing at all

  • So what happen to all these prebuilt OS? You don't offer unactivated Windows installation anymore like the one I bought over a year ago?

Operating System Activation: Linux Mint Operating System

      • lol, thought Bill cares about charity work more than his MS business

Bill's now about becoming a Farmer .. buying up USA farmland (with rivers)

    • I was wondering this too, likely potential legal trouble? Or maybe win 11 changed their distribution process? It could still come loaded with win 10 though?

      • +1

Id rather it just came with nothing. Most people will be doing a clean install anyway.

        • +1

Many may not know how to do it.

@[Deactivated]: Don’t you just love downloading a driver for every key in your computer? That’s if they exist at all. And then once you do they aren’t even stable.

Glad Linux exists but it isn’t for consumers.

    • +1

It is as they said: Linux Mint for the OS. But it does come with instructions for installing Windows which took most regular people around 15m to install the new Windows. Or you can always learn to use Linux.

      • +4

Learning to assemble and install windows and using it is easier than learning linux.

        • +2

I remember trying to mount my NAS in Linux…….3 week process.
          Windows it was 4 clicks.

          • +3

@Fergy1987: I have burnt my hands enough times trying to move to linux both at home and work. Was never worth it. Always saw myself dual booting back to windows. Linux is for people who likes to fight a war with thier bare hands.

  • Hows linux go with steam etc.

    • from memory decently since steam deck is linux and they built compatibility layer for it

    • +1

My experience with the steam deck has been outstanding - i don't think I'll buy another console at this point - just recycle an old desktop / GPU and throw SteamOS on it.

      • you can add steamOS on any desktop!?

        • Yep, and with the built in controller profiles etc its a far better solution than Windows + Steam Big Picture. It's the first time in a long long time that I've considered running a HTPC worthwhile. SteamOS really is a good bridge between PC/Console gaming

          • @NuclearWessels: What about GoG and Epic - a lot of my library are on those stores, and that put me off SteamOS - should I be put off by it, as I've heard it's a pain to get those others working?

            • +1

@MartyMcFlea: It's possible but I'd definitely put it in the "it's a pain" basket. SteamOS is purpose built for Steam - you can absolutely get other stuff running on it but it's not the same seamless experience. I don't think it is worth it

  • +2

Crazy that its basically better to buy an entire system than just a GPU at this price

    • There are 4070 Tis still under $1200, and the Ti Super is about to launch. Not as much value in this deal as you might think.

      • Still about $900 worth of other stuff in the build though so unless you can get the card for like 850/900 (and can use the other hardware, obviously) then still decent

        • $900? Nah I'm pricing the 4070 Ti in this at $1050, so about $650 worth of stuff. Most of the parts are pretty cheap.

  • Would this be great for editing vids? Not too knowledgeable about specs these days
    Thanks

      • Generally speaking 4/5k videos with Premiere Pro + Adobe Lightroom/Photoshop, etc

Basically wanting to upgrade from my 9 year old PC as an editing media machine as well as gaming on the side

        • Concern for you on this system is maybe RAM count, SSD space and speed, potential core count depending on your typical workload.

If you're happy with GPU encoding for export, CPU isn't a huge concern, otherwise a 6-core isn't for you. But the value will be much better in a few weeks due to Super series.

          • @jasswolf: Will wait for the Super series to be released, should lower the $$
            thank you

Would have pulled the trigger if there was built in wifi

    • I am on the boat maybe I should just put one together myself with this 4070ti deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/825346
saw stock came back in the afternoon and missed again

      • Not really, several people got the 4060 Ti instead. It's a listing error I think.

    • Lol crazy how no wifi determines whether people purchase an 18 hundred dollar gaming pc.😂

      • Not really, there’re so many new builds / deals come up all the time so the difference comes to these small things (but are a huge convenience IRL). I only play mid-tier games so all of these builds would perform the same regardless of the specs.

        • Sir, most of those convenient small things can be solved easily. In the case of wifi you can pick up a usb adapter with bt ~$10-20 (this is just a example and and can be argued about specific needs etc)

What I'm sayng is that I see quite a few ppl complaining about tiniest of things with easy fix/solution on a build they like and they go stomping the ground screaming "I would have bought this if it had wifi", insted of going "right, this build is great, the price is right but it lacks wifi or it needs extra 16gb of ram for my usage etc.".

Also in case of budget builders, it would lot more expensive to have those things upgraded as that is how their business model works, they offer bottom of the barrel parts and make their profits in upgrades.

          • +1

@Steakz: I know about the adapaters and I know they are cheap, the only issue is that I don't want to use an adapter but prefer a built-in solution. Each would value goods and services differently based on their own circumstances and their own needs, why would you apply yours to someone else then ridicule theirs? I just found that is quite subjective and somewhat rude…

            • @voldemort: I understand reading can be hard sometimes…

              • @Steakz: I wouldn't doubt anyone but yourself would..

                • -1

@voldemort: Indeed sir, reading before going on a utterly useless rant would save you some face, and if you still having trouble reading and understanding my post I suggest using chat gpt!

                  • @Steakz: I’ll take the high road and stop wasting my time arguing with strangers on the Internet and end it here. I hope someday you’ll find joy in life buddy. Cheers.

  • +1

Is there an option to receive the parts in the individual boxes so that I can put it together myself?

    • +1

I think it's on the previous deal's post, they can't do this as it creates too much work (certainly with these deals at least).

I think they're super under-the-pump at the moment and it's not logistically feasible. Seems like they have a lot of orders to get through, because it was very good on the prices at the right time.

  • +3

Didn't the rtx super editions just get announced? Wait?

    • It won't be cheap though. 4070 Ti Super (Replacing Ti) starts from $1499. 4080 Super from $1899 I think.

      • 40 series has been below MSRP since weeks after launch. MSRP is more like a price ceiling for basic cards these days.

4070 has been on sale for $800 pretty regularly, and now it will go lower, and you'd expect the 4070 Ti Super to go below $1250 pretty quickly.

        • I hope you're right. The 4070 Ti Super with 16GB hits the sweet spot and will be very competitive with the 7900XT.

  • only 16gb system memory?

    • 32GB [5200MHz] DDR5 RAM for $89.00 extra

  • Hi, I wanna get my order refunded because I’ve found another pc deal on your website that’s better, order number ends in 546107

    • Reach out to the team at [email protected], they can assist with your inquiry

      • Yeah I got it all sorted out thank you. Are there any 4070 ti/4080 pc deals coming soon? And if so when

  • Tried 4 different purchase methods and got bad gateways all times. Not ment to be

  • Any chance you do builds on White? I can see the option for the MSI MAG PANO M100R PZ Micro Tower Gaming Case (WHITE), but will the rest of the components match the colour?
