I remember using a small website that would calculate the optimum duration for loading a myki pass. It would consider the holidays and weekends. I cannot remember it anymore. For example if the Friday of fifth week from today is a public holiday, it will suggest to load 34 days pass instead of usual 4/5 week pass. That would save you 1 day fare for that public holiday.
Has anyone come across it?
I used to calculate it myself in excel
Assuming no PH / known leave, best was starting on a Monday with a 33 day pass (because it would cover 5 working weeks without the extra weekend.
I used to do this too.
I’d also look at my own personal calendar to see if I’d be using PT on any weekends / non typical travel days and try and line up the 33 day schedules to that (or just avoid plans with PT on those off weekends in between them).
Yeah, I used to do manually as well but then Ibfound this small tool and now I can't remember it.
