Android Mobile hotspot keeps dropping out when connected to PC/ laptop, having to reconnect when it happens. What could be causing this? Is there anyway to prevent it from happening?

Doesn't seem to be the phone or the laptop, it lasts a while maybe an hour+ usually but then needs reconnecting? Could be it momentarily loses signal so disconnects?

How do you reconnect?
Is the hotspot hot?
Does it reset?
Can you run any app on it to see what it is doing?
Is the hotspot running on battery or via a plug pack? Is it the correct plug pack?Its running on a phone plugged in/ charging. Which app could I run?

you say hot spotting to a PC/ laptop - are you hot spotting to both a PC AND a Laptop ? i.e. 2 devices? or just 1 device?
what type of android device are hotspotting from?
Try USB Tethering, forget about the few other devices you had.
could also try: Developer options - Tethering hardware acceleration toggle on/off, On doesn't automatically mean better, off doesn't mean worse, try them both.
Have you tested to see if is the phone or the laptop dropping the connection?
