Are we concerned that our vitamins are evaporating?

    • Oxidising.

That's the theory, at least. I started searching for vacuum blenders upon @LFO's recommendation.

They say: "up to 70% more nutrients" and I say: 'advertising, you're lying'

  • has anyone used one? at 70, is this a decent blender even if i don't care that my banana has been vacuum sucked?

  • Haven't been able to find any personal blender with glass cups.

These blenders are and cups are BPA free but I do see that the plastic can sometimes wear off.

    • Same. The Kenwood we're replacing has glass smoothie cup and glass blender jar, but one of the reasons we're replacing it is bc the smoothie cup is all cracked, and about to shatter. And it's the 2nd one already. We avoid plastic like the plague, BPA free or not, but if seems there isn't much we can do about these smoothie blenders.

      • I'm in the same wood, avoid plastic at all cost. If I do find something than it usually has at least a few flaws:

        • There's contact with plastic at the bottom instead of all glass.
        • Cleaning is difficult at the bottom where either the bottom part doesn't come off or if it comes off, it's hard to seal it back the same way causing a leak. Example Baccarat Flavour Blast.
        • Performance is really bad and it doesnt blend properly.

Which Kenwood glass blender did you get. I might get that temporarily because I couldn't find any that's good.
