Deals for NAS Drives (8TB WD Red Plus or Similar)

Hey all,

I'm putting together my first NAS, and I've just bought a used Synology DS918+. Now I'm just looking for some drives for it.

The best value drives I can seem to find are these from Amazon. However having done some research it seems that the 10TB drives are the loudest in the Red Plus range by quite a lot, and am looking for something a bit quieter.

In a similar vein I looked into buying from Neology, but it seems that the enterprise grade drives they offer would be too loud for my use case.

It seems a few months back there were some decent deals with Amazon, but I haven't been able to find anything even close to matching those prices.

Anyone have any ideas of where I should be looking or any real world experience with the 10TB drives?

    Search here there were some guys organising HDD group buy from Hong Kong. Don't ask me just search.

    IMHO don't worry about noise I mean they can t be that bad. Unless you put the Nas in your bedroom

          If it helps you at all I've discovered this site which lists all the price per TB on Amazon listings https://diskprices.com/

          Still really no deals on wd red plus though which I'm trying to hold out for :/
