Thinking of joining Hoyts VIP membership (pay $15).
I want to know if all the people in the group need to be a VIP member as well upon entering the cinema (i.e. to show our membership cards) or just me joining the VIP membership is enough? When I buy 25% discount tickets for the rest of us and they don't need to be a member?

Yeah we never check memberships when checking tickets. Honestly as long as you have a ticket for everyone you're fine.
Nope only whoever buys the tickets needs to be the member.
