Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Shadow Grey Stroller $359 + Delivery @ Babies R Us (Price Beat $355.25 @ Baby Bunting)

130

Great price for a stroller with good reviews. Delivery was $14.95 to VIC. Managed to price beat at Baby Bunting but had to CC as they wanted to charge to have it delivered. Paid with Baby Bunting gift card.

Black is the same price but delivery to VIC was $35. Still cheaper $374.30 with price beat at Baby Bunting if colour really matters to you.

This has been interesting to watch over the last week.

    1. Amazon dropped price to $378
    2. Baby bunting get people price beating amazon price (down to $359), so they say f*** it we will just price it at $359 and pretend it is a boxing day special
    3. Amazon and others (presumably including Babies R Us) also go down to $359.
    4. Amazon and Baby Bunting put the price back up to $445+ after a few days
    5. Babies R Us last one standing at $359, but since Baby Bunting put their price up you can now get it even cheaper with price beat
  • I have a kid due in 2 weeks - what pram should I get? Would live mainly in the car as I'm up 3 flights of stairs with no lift :(

Also - any recommendations on a baby pram? Will likely pick this one off marketplace if possible.

I have a Redsbaby metro as my main pram. It has great built quality and large basket. It also has a good resale/2nd hand market and you can usually get the accessories for free when they run promotions. I got the Redsbaby as it was on clearance and really cheap but now need a travel stroller. However the baby jogger can be used from birth.

There's a lot of other factors to consider when getting a pram. There's other useful comments in the post as well

      • Thanks very much, will have a read!

No worries. In summary, based on my research and humble opinion, the main brands I would consider depending on your needs are Bugaboo, Baby Jogger, Redsbaby and Joolz AER. My mian consideration is built quality, basket size, seat size and price.

We have a Babybee Duo as main pram, its great. If you dont plan on having a second you could go the Babybee Rover. Babybee doesnt get enough appreciation as its an Australian brand so not as many reviews but their prams are really top notch and we have recommended to a few friends who also love them.

      • Awesome, cheers for that. Will factor it in, hectic times ahead!

  • I picked this up during the black friday sales and I'm quite happy with the build, weight and feel. It collapses down pretty well. Some downsides are it doesn't come with a belly bar in the middle or a rainshield (they're sold separately for about ~$30 and ~$65 respectively), the wheels don't really have any kind of suspension (if that matters to you) and the brakes use a cable so there's probably some concern that it might not be as durable as some of the others down the line.

With the bar attached, it still does fit in the bag it comes with, however it is a bit taller with it attached. For the price, I'm happy with it being a nice lightweight stroller.

  • We bought this before we went travelling when my son was 9 months at the start of 2020 and it became our main pram until he preferred walking. It's been our main pram for my daughter since she was 6 months old and still going strong!

The two negatives I find are that the basket is a bit small and it doesn't stand up when folded, otherwise it's really good. Has been on two overseas trips and a few road trips, folds well in the boot and I've always been able to take it onto the plane.

    This is a great price.
