Monitor Options for 3070

Im looking to get back into desktop gaming and socializing online instead of watching movies and siting on the couch.

I'm considering buying the Lenovo R45w-30 44.5"
posted on OZb for $997 @ Officeworks but with high refresh rate I don't think it can handle the resolution.

I have enough room for that monitor but I think it may be more sensible to get something ~32in for around half the price. I've got a basic driving setup with a Logitech g29 but I could also use the quest 2 rather than relocating the monitor.

    A 49″ 5120×1440 ultrawide is basically equivalent to two 27″ 1440p monitors. That 44” is even smaller than that.

    32” is the sweet spot but you need to decide if 1440p is sufficient or want to move to 4K now.

      1440 is fine in my opinion / I guess I'll just wait until the next 32in bargain pops up. It's more a question of the 45in VA or a nice IPS

        Again very subjective. I wouldn't ever buy a VA panel personally as prefer the vibrancy & clarity of IPS. Others don't care and prefer VA's generally higher refresh rates instead. There's no right or wrong answer.

          Im a bit confused if wether the processing capabilities that I have might be lost on a VA monitor VS an IPS monitor via ghosting at the same refresh rate. Might as well buy a TV…

          I guess I'll wait till a great IPS monitor is posted here.
