Thinking about buying a Suzuki Vitara 1.4 litre turbo all wheel drive and have been unable to find out if the gearbox is a CVT.

Thank you both.
I couldn't see how a CVT could work out in a AWD.
The xtrail AWD has a CVT
Mann, these did not age well.
Plenty of Subarus with cvt.
Including the WRX FFS.
Why? It's just another type of transmission that has an input, changes the speed and possibly direction of rotation, and an output.
Managed to get hold of my mechanic. It's a torque convertor auto.

Just peeing in his pocket.
@CurlCurl: My pocket is always open for pee.
CVT transmissions have a torque converter.
CVT transmissions have a torque converter.
Some do, some don't.
I own a Vitara 2020 model, it’s not a CVT.
The Automatic Transmission is made by Aisin. Just a note, Suzuki says the transmission fluid doesn’t need to be replaced as it “Lifetime”, I will Still replace the fluids at around the 80k mark.So far my Vitara ownership has been great. Any questions feel free to ask me.

I will if I need help. Aisin is owned by Toyota and damn good gearbox.. All the Toyota 4WDs run them as do Pajeros built after 2009.
Its a mixed bag of info out there.I believe it's a traditional 6 speed torque converter automatic slush box.
