Best Way to Save Buying from AliExpress?

Hey, I have not bought from Aliexpress, I'm pretty sure I never have.

I'm looking at a Red Light Therapy unit for $700. The feedback is in the thousands, been reviewed on YouTube. These units are resold branded for $1,500.

I'm just wondering if they release codes, or if it's worth waiting for Cashback?

I'm not in a rush to buy, but it'd be nice to save $50-$100 extra.

Appreciate any advice.

Thank you.

Save money and get the same benefit from sunlight before 10am or after 3pm …

Sale event + coupons + cash back. Have a look at the store page for history.

There was also a recent thread on tracking prices which may be helpful.

Buy expensive stuff from Aliexpress at your own peril. Most of the crap sold on that platform is counterfeit knock-offs

It's fine to buy from AliExpress. It's a marketplace site so selecting a decent seller is important.

Just make sure you've done your research. Warranty can be a bit difficult so ensure you've properly checked the price upon receiving it.

        warranty is non existent
refunds are always a hassle and not even a given even when the product is not fit for purpose defective or misrepresented
        buy at your own peril

  • Pay the few bucks extra for the step above free shipping, otherwise months from now a box full of random stuff you forgot about will show up.

Must be a pretty dodgy seller if your orders are taking months. I'm getting them within 2 weeks on average.

      • Aren't the cheapest sellers all dodgy sellers?

        • The ones with <90% feedback are usually the dodgy sellers (or brand new). If you go for Choice stores/products it's fulfilled by AliExpress and shipped from their warehouse.

taobao>aliexpress. Quite a few sellers are dropshipping from there. Kind of like Amazon/Ebay arbitrage. If you can't speak Chinese, there's ways to naviagte the site in english.

    • How can i navigate taobao in english? My first test order a few years ago it got stuck at a forwarder stage and i couldnt work it out.

      • probably best to check guides on youtube for latest info. I just browsed a few years ago using two of the biggest "clone" sites that translate it.

I would never buy something expensive from AliExpress. Their complaint process is rubbish and it's very hard to get a refund.

Anything I order is money I'm ready to lose. Have complained to AliExpress and they rarely take the buyer's side, so I've had to put the claim with PayPal to get my money back.

Examples: ordered a few items and one item was missing, they wouldn't believe it or item never arrived and customer service just wanted to keep pushing the date for buyer's protection.
