Is it possible to hide/block my access to the general discussion forums other than the bargains?
Just trying to remove all social media/junk discussion from my life. The bottom of the forum posts gets sort of distracting, really detracts from the main things in life - but I do enjoy bargains.
Google Lens is pretty good
You may be able to block the section using a adblocker.
Otherwise, you could try a browser extension like Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey and write a small script to hide it.
Just don't click the forums tab?

Make a habit difficult to access and you break it.
But every deal post has similar discussions etc?
You could browse Ozbargain using the official ozbargain app (may not work that well on newer devices because development on it has ceased).
It has no links to the forums and it has no forum sidebars — all you get is deals and competitions.
Put some black paper over the lower half of your screen, it helps with all sorts of click temptations ;)
