Vitamix A2500i for $119 @ Myer?

Did anyone catch the above? I think it was on extremely briefly last night before being OOS.

I was looking at Vitamix's yesterday and wednesday and saw that Myer had the a2500i's listed at $119. They were all out of stock when I checked on wednesday though so not sure if it was a price error and lucky people were able to purchase them at that insane price reduction or if it is some sort of place holder as the slate is in stock and at normal pricing (https://www.myer.com.au/p/vitamix--ascent-blender-a2500i---s…)

Red is out of stock and listed at the very cheap price: https://www.myer.com.au/p/vitamix-ascent-series-a2500i-high-…

    • I got mine via click and collect in Perth CBD Myer. I live in Townsville so got my MIL to pick it up and post it. Postage cost $100 but still worth it in my eyes. Bought for $199.. Couldnt believe it when I saw it, I thought it must have been a mistake. They didn't have stock in Townsville or in any Sydney stores (I have family in Sydney who could have posted it to me), checked Perth and they had it so I had to jump!

  • I purchased one for $961 last week from AppliancesOnline

The delivered product has manufactured date in May 2021. Works well and connects to app without issue.

Can anyone share if the manufacture date matter with these?

Nah manufacture date doesn't matter, they haven't done any changes since then I believe and it's the exact same model that they still sell today.

It's currently $899 at Appliances Online and Amazon and it was recently $699 for Black Friday deals at Amazon (https://au.camelcamelcamel.com/product/B07FP6D9LH?tp=1m), maybe can get some money back from Appliances Online cause they dropped the price shortly after your purchase?

      • Thanks mate. I’ll keep it then.

I can’t do much about lower price now or back in November, it was an instant purchase after the current ninja broke.

I did however order before 24th December so was able to claim the $250 1.4L jar as part of redemption offer

        • Sounds good, how is the Vitamix in comparison to your previous ninja?

I hear great things, just wasn't sure if it warranted the price tag in comparison. What do you reckon?

@Dejy: Build quality is night and day, even the blending bowl and jar that I purchased later.. the base, blades the actual jars are solid built.

If choosing between 2300i and 2500i, the three additional modes are not worth the additional money. There is an app connectivity feature that allows dozens if custom modes to be run whether using 2300i or 2500i model.

I have only used to make it smoothie. We don’t like to add ice to it, just milk banana and cacao. I used room temperature milk. Ninja would make the smoothie in about a minute and smoothie came out room temperature. With the Vitamix smoothie mode, it took 51 seconds and the smoothie came out a little warm; it does have a “friction heat” from blades that makes hot steaming soup in 6 mins.. may be that’s why. Next time I’ll probably run it for 20-25 seconds.. Not much in difference of actual blending result.

I am yet to use it for other purposes, will report back.

            • @rake: Awesome, thanks for the info rake.

I wasn't aware of the heating thing with vitamix but looked into it further and its the norm it seems, people suggest using frozen fruit or ice in the mix to keep it cool.

Sweet, if you get the chance to try it with other stuff and can let us know how it performs that would be much appreciated. I'm still on the fence a bit and not sure if it's worth the additional cost compared to other blenders.

                @Dejy: No worries, will share.

I don't expect the results to be much different to be honest. We purchased Vitamix for the build quality and it being BIFL level blender. So far I am impressed with the build quality and only time will tell on how reliable it is.

  • Didn't someone report that it shows as being "in stock" very briefly thus a dexterous individual can add to bag and checkout for delivery?

It would seem weird that it shows as oos online and at the local store but still gets fulfilled fr9m said local store.

      • Oh and no local stock, even for the one that they have normal pricing on. It's online only.

  • Even with CC instead of PayPal?

    • Tried all payment methods I have including CC, none go through.

    Mine got delivered today.

Oh nice, did you get it for $119?

Managed to order one yesterday morning for click & collect.
At first it shows out of stock, but on the mobile site there is a split second where "Add to Bag" shows, so frantically tapped add to bag.
Once in the cart and go to the checkout, delivery was not an option but click and collect was and i was able to select my store.

Got the order confirmation within a few minutes after ordering and then ready for collection email very late in the day just before they closed so went in this morning to pickup with no issues. Lady just asked what i was collecting, went and got it and handed it over, not like she checked the system for any details of the price etc.

Probably the best bargain I have managed to grab to round out 2023.

looking now it is showing stock an the following stores so you can probably try your luck, but it could just be the stock levels that are not correct and you may receive a cancellation email. Definitely worth a try

    QLD
    Indooroopilly

    WA
    Graden City
    Karrinyup

use this link for the black as the red is out of stock at all stores.

    • Appreciate you sharing the tip mate. It’s more than $800 less than what I paid, indeed one of this bargains you’ll remember for a long time!
