  • Is this a new phone number or just data?

  • +24

The plan is valid for 24 hours only and it forces you to sign in with either Google or Facebook.

    • +1

I can sign up with Apple ID.

      • +2

        Name checks out

Nothing comes for free in this world, what's the catch for this one?

    • +7

It’s got a limited validity of 24hrs no matter if you use the data or not

  • +4

    1GB data for 24 hours = 30GB data for 30 days

    Awesome

    /s

  • Can you use this for sim slutting?

    • So you're basically asking if it has a number

I don't think any of these travel/roaming SIMs come with a number. And even if it did, it'd be a non Australian number. There might still be some utility in that but I'd imagine it'd be less useful than an Australian number

      • Thanks, will stick to Lebara :)

Just a heads up: in order to proceed with the 1GB free plan, it requires you to enter credit card details so they can auto-charge for when the 24-hour “trial” is over.

I haven’t checked if this can be turned off easily after, and whether I can trust them to actually not use my card once I’ve turned the auto-charge off (as they would already had my credit card details). Seeing that this is not an Australian company, I am a bit less optimistic.

Refer to the top comment on Google Play (18 December 2023 from Ankh):
"There are no settings, you cannot change anything, you cannot remove payment details once added!! They charged me for data I did not use! They refunded me the money in the end after I sent them a complaint. Still, be cautious when using this application. They can charge you at any moment and you don't have a lot of control over usage or billing."
      BE CAREFUL

Not having an auto renewal cancellation setting sounds like a scam. Do not trust.

      • 100% agree - it would be almost impossible to recover your money and I doubt your credit card provider would be able to reverse the charges

  • I’m travelling in NZ. Their rate is competitive and cheaper than eskimo and red bull mobile.

Will give this a try after using up the other providers free data offer.

  • So i wonder which data of yours that this mob is selling off during the first 24 hours. Companies don't give away 1GB international esim for no return investment.

  • +1

I have iOS and have turned off the pay as you go option on the app. Will test this out in Indonesia (Java) on Saturday. Will report back.

    • +1

I can confirm it works in Jakarta. Once esim was activated, i was given 6 days to use the free 1GB, and not just 24 hours. I can also confirm you can turn off the auto load function through the app. Customer support takes a few hours to respond, whereas other providers like Travelkon and Eskimo respond nearly immediately.

      • May I know how do I turn off the auto load function in Android as I can't find that from the APP?

        Thx

  • Offer has expired I think.
