Hi. I received a physical BWS Gift card for Christmas and was wondering if it can be used at Woolworths? Food is a little more important than alcohol at the moment. lol. tia

It pretty clearly says on it's website that it's "Redeemable at BWS, online and in store".
But as mentioned above, you can give it a try at Woolies.
Food is a little more important than alcohol
Consume enough alcohol and you won't have to worry about food issues.
Woolies doesn't own BWS anymore, so pretty unlikely.
depends 100% on which store + state.
but argh yeah … I would be betting you are wrong.I work in transport distribution network …
which also provides services to the expansive BWS/WW network.Endeavour Group owns BWS now. Surprised nobody knows this.

I think they sell nuts and chips
And pricey soft drinks
It is against the terms and conditions of a BWS gift card to use it outside of BWS.
Additionally, in my experience for instore purchases:
If you have a physical BWS gift card starting with 628000 540, if you scan or swipe the gift card (or manually enter the gift card number) instore at a Woolworths checkout, you should get an error saying that the card number is not recognised (or something along those lines). You will not even see the PIN prompt screen.
If you have a physical BWS gift card starting with 628000 504, if you scan or swipe the gift card (or manually enter the gift card number) instore at a Woolworths checkout, you should be asked for a PIN, but as soon as you enter the correct PIN, you should get an error (something about insufficient amount available).
If you attempt to use a BWS gift card to partially pay for a Woolworths Online order, I doubt it would work. Although I have not tried this myself on the Woolworths website/app, I know that for other Woolworths Group or Endeavour Group websites, if you use a gift card issued by Woolworths Group at a website that does not officially accept it (e.g. redeeming an EG gift card at the BIG W website, redeeming a Dan Murphy’s gift card at the BWS website), the website usually lets you redeem that gift card, but then the order will fail.
You could always give it a go, but I have my doubts it would work at Woolworths.
Give it a try, if it can be swiped or has a barcode on the back you can treat it like a eGift Card and report back to us if it works?
