I got this staff email for a Sony warehouse sale in North Ryde (33-39 Talavera Road, North Ryde). Not sure what kind of discounts are being applied, I will post an update if I find out. Edit: 25-80% discounts, just noticed it says it on the email.

      This wont be on sale, as its newly released. This sale is for Clearance, surplus, excess, damaged and end of life.

      Good luck finding anything thats newly released.

      Agree. Knowing Sony RRP is ridiculously high, not sure whether this will turn out to be a good deal, since there is no example of price, etc.

    Do staff get first pick as your receipt says the 19th when the sale is on the 20th. Kind of defeats the purpose of a bargain sale when the better items have been snapped up before the advertised time.

      There was a short staff sale today. Those I mentioned above are still in stock and there are plenty more. The P series tablet was is not available today either, only tomorrow.

      But, I can see what you are saying. I will request to take down this deal with mods.

    I was there at 9am, got into warehouse about 10:10am. Pretty overrated to be honest. Most products could be found on the web at similar prices, and we left without buying anything. Eg cheapest iPod dock was $95, AirPlay dock was $395, laptops started at $800ish.

    Maybe the real bargains had gone before I got in, as some products like NEX5N dual lens pack at about $400 was sold out. Also spoke to a girl who bought noise cancelling headphones rrp $600 for $163. Gone by 10am. I didn't see any really compelling bargains.

    Huge queues and left a bit disappointed.

    Pretty much same as above, i bought the XBAS65B earphones for $42.00 friends bought the ipod dock for $95. Bought lots of $2 dvd collections ie Cloudy with a chance of meatballs etc. Also the 1tb tv recorder for $279.00.

    All tablets and phones (xperia s) gone before i got in at 9.35

    Went and got there at 12.45pm Not much left most stuff was gone. Still plenty of ipod docs, 3D tvs, car DAB+ head units, heaphones, BDP-390 Wifi, pvr 1tb, tablet sleves/cases. laptop pink, a few cameras and a lens, cds, dvds. All I purchased was a Smokin' Aces 1 and 2 blu-ray 2 movie pack for $5. Everything else was not that great.

    Current model Sony Xplod DAB+ car head unit was $299 > $169

    Hi Guys,

    I bought the HDR-PJ760VE handycam for 999(rrp 1899) on that day sale after waited for 2hrs in the que.. I tried to open the box and wanted to check the box there in the warehouse to makesure everything is there and the guy said its brand new and everything will be there….

    Today i noticed the stickers are missing outside the side view panel(shows under HD and Sony logo with "26mm wide angle lense",image stabilizer"). For my knowledge brand new handycam should have the stickers outside the display panel..

    Anyone bought the same handycam from sonywarehouse last saturday have same issue like mine or its only mine..

    The sony rep or the staff posted this deal can answer this..

          Hi guys,

          I actually been to Sony warehouse at Macquarie park where i bought and one of the dude helps me with it.. He said he rang his manager and his manager rang and confirmed all stocks of products they sold Saturday were brand new in box, they didnt sell any refurbished models… He mention some models doesn't come with retail stickers and those stickers outside the camcorder for retail purposes..or they may remove the stickers if it came as bundle with other products.. He said Refurbished model doesn't come in retail box or it won't ask to enter basic information such as date and time when you initially turn on the camcorder at all and comes in different box.. I email sony support centre, they also mention some times models comes without stickers too.. Only sticker i got in my handycam was inside the side screen with go to www.sony.net/pm to download the software, where the one i found in Myer doesn't have it..

          So far i am happy with it and the box and cables and package was brand new with new smell.. only thing was worried with no stickers

          What i really wanted to know is does anyone bought the same camcorder in warehouse sale got same as mine or mine is only lucky pick..
