  • Only 2.1A charge

First time I pay attention to the Voltage and current combination. I have the Aldi/Bauhn desktop charging station also running at 2.1A 5V. Don't seems to take too long to charge. Give the low price I think this is a good deal.

Seems very few good deals on 10000mah model but find this comment. The officeworks option looks to be a decent deal. I think most people don't realise how big and heavy the 20000 and 30000 models are until they get it.

    • 1x Micro-USB in
    • 1x USB-C in/out
    • 2x USB-A out
  • There should be a way to combine their power lol

    • You can tandem use and charge together. Effectively use one to charge the other when first is being used to charge the device.

      • But does that double the output? LOL

        • No just capacity :)

  • Max 2.4A output (usb-c) = 12w.
Well, you're getting what you pay for on this one i think…though possibly less….

Can you find 20/30W 10000mAh for under $20? The one in comment I quote above is closest I find but its only 18W.

      • Set an alert for INIU deals. They happen regularly, and are great value when on sale.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/Iniu%20power%20bank…

        • Looking 30W 10000mAh one.
          Any recommendations?

          • @Sidor: I was looking for the same. For some reason 30W and 10000mAh don't seem to mix, may be it is not something in manufacturer's top agenda.

Romoss, Anker, Baseus do have these models. Issue is Romoss is junk and the other two wants an arm and leg for it.

My suggestion is if you really need the portability of a 10000mAh one then get one that is 18-22w. Plenty of choice. If you really must have 30W charging, Get a 20000mAh one.

            • @syswong: Found Oppo 30W, $49

              • @Sidor: Don't you think that is excessive when a 18W one only cost $15 in retail shops? Hense I said cost an arm and leg…..

          • @Sidor: What protocols / voltages do you want / need to support at 30W?

You mention the Oppo Power Bank below. Do you need VOOC?

            And what price range?

            • @Prong: No, do not need VOOC, need the fastest possible 10000mAh one for Samsung sc22 ultra. Mentioned Oppo, as one found so far.

              • +1

@Sidor: Baseus GeN does 45W which is the highest in take for S22 ultra. Pricy and good luck finding one, god knows how long these shortens the battery life. I never a fan of high power charging for mobile but that's just me

              • +5

@Sidor: Ok cool, understood. It gets surprisingly complex! As it happens, I have compiled some power bank PPS data already, including links to the cheapest (at the time - best to double check now).

Based on this article, and various other info, it appears that for the Samsung SC22 Ultra, you need a power bank that supports PPS, and ideally up to 45W, but 25W is only a bit slower overall.

The Samsung 25W wall charger supports PPS 3.3V - 11V at 2.25A (and 9V, 2.77A). The Samsung 45W charger does PPS 3.3V - 21V at up to 3A. It's not clear what voltage the 45W charging uses.

There is some info that suggests needing official Samsung / Samsung certified chargers for the full charge speed. Certainly it is at least finicky in terms of cables, chargers, clean USB ports etc.

It is not clear to me what charge voltage is used when charging from a PD charger without PPS. Likely 9V, 2A,18W. It's also not clear if you can get 25W using other protocols, without PPS, such as 9V, 2.77A from the Samsung 25W charger.

So to keep to known info, 10,000mAh power banks with 3.3V - 11V, 2.25A+ PPS. Unfortunately many manufacturers don't list PPS support, so my confirmed PPS support list is largely based around my own personal testing. There are some more options if you go higher capacity, and I slipped a few 15,000 mAh options in below.

Interestingly, many of the 22.5W or similar 10,000 mAh power banks support 5V - 11V, 2A PPS. I don't know if the Samsung SC22 Ultra will fast charge at 22W from these, or if it will baulk and revert to slower charging.

Listed with the best option first.

                Samsung 10k, 25W Power Bank.
$41.30 @ JB HiFi. (on sale from $59).
I have not tested this personally. The Samsung website lists support for "Super Fast Charging" and PPS, but under the specs it just says 9V, 2.77A. This seems like your best bet for 25W Samsung charging.

                UGREEN 30W, 10,000mAh power bank.
$50 on Amazon (down from $60).
I have not tested it myself. It lists support for PPS 3.3V - 11V, 3A, and specifically says it supports Samsung Super Fast Charging at 25W. It appears reasonably compact. The other UGREEN power banks I have tested have been excellent.

                4smarts 45W, 10,000mAh power bank
$60 on eBay (but 5% coupon listed) or $80 on Amazon.
I have one of these and have tested it with a FNB58. It supports PPS 3.3V - 11V, 4.05A. (And PD 3.0 up to 20V, 2.25A)
I don't have a Samsung phone, but it seems likely this will do 25W charging. But may not do 45W, if more than 11V PPS is needed.
It's a good power bank, and very compact. Thermally, it can't supply 45W for the full capacity (say, laptop charging) but that's not really the key use.

                INIU 15k, 45W power bank.
$54 direct from INIU or currently $48 from Amazon with a 30% off coupon.
I have not tested this myself. The top review on the INIU website says it supports 45W Samsung charging. The spec does not list PPS.
I have tested the 20k, 65W version. Its spec also does not list PPS, but it supports PPS 3.3V - 20V, 3A. The 65W is a great power bank IMO.
The 15k, 45W version is similar length and width to the Samsung 10k power bank, but 22mm thick, rather than 15.6mm.

                Essager 15,000 mAh, 65W.
                It does PPS 3.3V - 21V, 3A.
                Around $60 from Aliexpress.
I have one of these. It's a nice power bank and does everything it says it should. No confirmation of Samsung fast charging, but it should definitely do 25W charging, and probably does 45W. It is ot super compact considering the capacity, but it is not too chunky.

                Other potential options.

                Anker A1256 (533). 30W, 10,000mAh.
PPS likely but not confirmed. (Also does 20V, 1.5A)
On sale for $50 on Amazon, normally $70.
Finding specs on this power bank is a crapshoot (the model is not listed on the Anker website) and it appears to be discontinued, and replaced by the hard to buy variant with a built in cable. Anker often supports PPS, but does not list it.
User reports suggest it does support PPS, and will do at least 25W Samsung charging.
There appear to be some reports of it having issues charging at more than 5W.

                Romoss Sense4S Pro 30W, 10k.
I have not tested this unit and was not able to confirm if it does PPS or not.
It does do up to 20V, 1.5A. So may do PPS.

                Heymix (ha!) 10k, 22.5W.
                Currently $21 on Amazon.
I bought this as a test. Interestingly it is the only 22.5W 10k power bank I have tested that does PPS 3.3V - 11V, albeit at only 2A. Almost all the other 22.5W or similar power banks do PPS 5V - 11V, 2A. I don't know if 2A will work with the Samsung fast charging needs, or if 5V vs 3.3V matters.
As an aside, the Heymix power bank is nothing special, but does meet the spec (including capacity), and has a completely normal mid 80% efficiency. It's on the larger side for a 10k power bank, but is not huge. Total wildcard in terms of Samsung charging but there is a chance.

                OPPO VOOC Power Bank2 30W 10000mAh
Can't see much info. Likely no PPS, and not compatible with Samsung fast charging.

                • @Prong: Very useful for anyone who is looking for a high-power power bank. No way we are not giving you an up vote on such a detail reply🙏🙏

I have my reserve on Romoss and Heymix though, Heymix has quite a bit of negative reports going around and Romoss I personally had two, not buying again from them.

                  • @syswong: No worries - it is nice to share some of the data I have collected. The fact the Samsung power bank is on sale currently is also very handy!

And yeah, the Romoss is a wild card. I included it (but forgot the link) because it is cheap - $40 on Amazon.

The Heymix even more so. Mostly I included it because it is the only very cheap, 10k, 3.3V - 11V PPS supporting power bank I have seen. Not worth it in your case, but maybe interesting to others searching for PPS models. And Heymix has a terrible rep so not recommended, but the power banks (I tested three) all seem otherwise fine for the price.

Wish there are more like you here and post constructive comments. Too much arrogant AHs only comment for self fulfilment (admit i do that sometimes too🤣🤣)

I lost track of these standards already, QC, PD, IQ, PPS…. The fact is the more tech in a power bank the more expensive it is. If you see the way how my wife treats power banks, you will know why i buy the cheapest possible ones. That is also how I know stuff like Romoss is garbage.

@Prong: Wow, thanks for detailed summary.

  • Deal is still active @ $24.93

I got my delivery today. Two thumbs for the Amazon guy who actually wait for me to go down to collect the item unlike some others (mostly from dragonfly) who just leave the item outside of security door and dare to use that picture as POD on tracking. I told my Amazon connection that is more like a EOD (evidence of dispute).

It is pack in two hence they sell in two. Very basic with four LED four indicator next to the USB C charging port. Reminds me of the stuff from Zyron (One 10000 still working, 20000 DOA and got replaced now with dead LEDs but still charges).
For $12.50 you really can't complain. If you don't mind the ugly pattern and want a bit more power, may be check your local Officeworks store and get the OTTO one quote above.
