I have this. Pretty useful and good for the price.

Just something to be aware of, it doesn't like 5Ghz wifi.

Which is an issue for me, as I run a mesh network which jumps bands as required.

So I've had to buy a cheapie AP and run a smoking/bbq only WiFi for this.

    • which jumps bands as required

that's called band steering, it can be disabled.

      • Don't think it can be disabled on example Google nest WiFi. Also the guest wifi is mix and not 2.4 only. I am using a dedicated router for smart devices as some brands don't like it and gets disconnected.

Got 1 a year or so ago. Worth every cent. Has been super reliable and nice not needed to be nearby to monitor.

  • Thanks OP, got one for the smoker i got as early Christmas present.

  • Got more than 3 years ago. Here is how I use it mostly: https://youtu.be/AWmnkt41LTE . Highly recommend. Still going strong.

I ruined all my probes leaving a Kamado alone for a few minutes more than I should have to heat up…. on 4 occasions.

Replacement probes cost more than this deal.

    • Follow the link above, post by Moocow

  • Great deal, been using this for a few years from a previous deal and well impressed. Use it on my Google Nest mesh without issues.

Bang for buck this is awesome, used for cooking different meats/joints and able to control timing for resting, and serving.

  • What's the difference use between this and a single probe one? Besides one having 3 more probes, for you smart asses lol.

Ink bird have the single probe for $88, down from $145¿

    • I am gonna use this in my smoker to control temperature with one prong and the others for the meat. Good also for a big bbq feast with various meats to know when it is ready to the person's liking.

    • Single probe is wireless, this one has wires.

Having 4 is great if you're doing something big or multiple meats in the smoker together. If I'm doing a brisket I usually have 2 probes in that and one doing the grill temp

  • It looks like they ended it early?
