I got the dual boiler thanks to everyone revving about it plus I got a good deal.
I'm having issues turning it on for the first time. The power button doesn't flash where I wait 10mins for it to heat up. I instead get the hot water indicator flashing (at least I assume it is, the two water droplets led light). Turning the hot water dial on or off seems to make no difference.
Anyone ever had this issue before or know what I need to do to fix it?
I reckon this too. But if that doesn't work maybe try taking the water tank out and makind sure the filter is on correctly (or remove it for now) and put the tank back again. Otherwise time to bring it back for a replacement :(
This is the right idea although I think in the OP's case it's actually the hot water dial that may be on (left side dial). I tested on mine and it had similar symptoms to what the OP is describing. Try turning the hot water dial all the way on (twist away from you), turn the machine on (should have solid power, no screen and flashing drip light) then turn the hot water dial all the way off (towards you) and see if the machine responds (power should start flashing and the screen turns on).
If that doesn't do it you'll likely need to take it in. If water isn't leaking out it's possible that the switch isn't engaging so the machine thinks the valve is open when it's not.
It's definitely not the steamer dial. That one works fine.
I've tried all the tips above and it doesn't work. Still reads as the hot water dial is on and refuses to turn on.

Shouldn't take more than a few seconds to heat up.
Im going to take a random guess and say the steam wand is not in the fully off position. On mine right side lever in full down position, give that a shot.
