Hi everyone,
Kids will be spending some time to and from school next year so looking to get them a phone to keep in touch on their bus journeys.
Can someone please recommend a non-smart phone as I just need it for calling which also has a good battery life?
Also, any recommendations on a calls only plans? TIA

I got my kids one of the Nokia 8210 4G phones when it was on special. Set up fast dial on the keypad so all they have to do is hold down a key to call. There is very limited internet access, and what access there is, it's painful to use. No SnapChat/Insta/Fartbook/whatever apps installed and messaging is a pain in the arse for general chatting. It's also pretty simple and robust for day to day kids punishment and cheap to replace in the event taht they do break it.
It is about as close as I can get to being a dumb phone.
Nokia 110 is a solid choice for a keypad phone, battery delivers hours of talk time or over a week of standby

Best to confirm with BIG W. The 110s at $79 are unlocked. Vodafone says only purchases from Vodafone Australia, 3 Mobile or Crazy John’s need unlocking.
You prolly know but 3G is going away, so the phone should do 4G at the minimum.
