    You may have come across one fake listing but if you have booked many times via booking.com (which I have), you may take note the following things to look for:

    • The Booking.com review: which in most cases I wouldn’t book anything below 8.0 rating
    • Free cancellation up until your booking date, just in case any last minute change of plans and always select pay at property to avoid any initial charges

    I wouldn’t personally trust Product Review and similar sites as these normally don’t reflect the true reflection

    100% this. Logged in the other week for a booking.com discount on cash rewards and the price got jacked.

    Cheapest was on Agoda without any login for cashback.

      I recently made a couple of bookings via Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda (with increased cashback from CR/SB) and noticed that the prices were the same across the board, i.e. no price gouging - which was a pleasant surprise/Xmas miracle!

  Make sure to double check on Expedia before booking. There are few occasions where the price seems to be jacked up when clicking via ShopBack or Cashrewards.

  Ive managed to find some random 9% off codes for Expedia (which can only be used for pay now places) and generally prefer using this method to avoid issues with cashback not tracking etc. usually the difference in price is very minor and at least I have the comfort of knowing the price is locked in.

  For example: I booked two nights at World Center Hotel (Jul-24) in NYC with Expedia when ShopBack had 14.5% cashback last weekend for $649. The price via Expedia app is $606 without cashback and $876 on booking.com via Cashrewards. In this instance even with the 12% Cashrewards, it is cheaper on the Expedia app directly.. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

  For those who missed out on this deal (now expired)
  - Agoda is 10% CB
  - Hotels.com is 7% CB (my favorite, as every 10 stays give you one free via Hotels.com rewards)

  Both of the above deals via CR, it appears that there are no good deals on SB today for travel/hotels
