      Energizer for the pocket

I'm still using Eneloop batteries where I can. But there are some devices, where rechargeables are just not ideal.

      • +1

Agree. I have outdoor sensors exposed to the elements. I don't want to put expensive rechargeables in environments where they get cooked by the sun.

Children's toys are also a bit iffy. Sure you save money on energy intensive toys but it's offset by the risk of a toy donation/throwout without your knowledge. In that case, say goodbye also to $20 of eneloops along with the toy.

Plus a lot of toys will only use one set of batteries a year or less, I'm not going to waste rechargables on those.

@macrocephalic: Waste recharchabes , heat I can understand but maybe the fam needs some reeducation about the fun of recharging and bringing things back to life , if it is stubborn Mrs. When she comes for cash look in wallet shrug , if only you hadn’t thrown out our future savings ,

@beach bum: My kids need an education on not leaving toys outside in the weather, or putting them in the bath. After 13 years of marriage I've given up on teaching my wife so I have no hope with the kids. They only have about 5 more years of playing with battery toys anyway. Until then I'm just going to use alkalines for their stuff.

@macrocephalic: Ok ,sheesh who knew married life could be stressful ,
Don’t know about everything else but sounds like you need a month or two’s fishing and drinking your cares away at camp on Fraser with the boys .

I'm stocked from the Paw Patrol deal.

    • I can't believe I missed that one..

      • well this deal is cheaper if you needed 30 haha

  • Cheers OP :)

  • That’s a lot of self gratification

  • Thanks OP, got two packs!

  • Thanks. got 2 packs.

  • Thanks! Great deal.

  • Thanks OP!

  • Thanks OP, bought a set of AA and AAA, good for grandchildren's toys and stops my rechargeables heading off back home with them and eventually getting lost or accidentally thrown out.

  • Does anyone know what the shelf life is roughly?

    • +4

10 years on the last lot of Energizers I got, assume these would be the same

      • Thanks for the reply. I'm an idiot, just realised it actually says the shelf life on the packaging too.

        • +4

          You're not an idiot.
          You need your batteries replaced.

  • AAA are also selling at a good price $9 for 24

    • The deal on AAA batteries is in the description… Although, I didn't include the price. This is now fixed.

  • Excellent price, this is almost exactly the price I purchase these for through my work. This must be the cost price as it's too much of a coincidence. That just shows how excellent of a deal this is woah

  • Thanks OP. Bought AA and AAA

  • Whats better? Energizer or Duracell?

    • depends on which particular variety of Energizer or Duracell.
they've a LOT of products each!

      so, summary, Netiher

      • Energizer Max claim they won't leak. That's enough for me…

    • I've had a few Energizer batteries leak including their rechargeables. Duracell and LADDA have never leaked. I did have one AA LADDA fail to fully recharge and IKEA replaced the whole pack.

I recommend Duracell because they have attractive colouring and they don't sell garbage torches.
