Virgin Future Flight Credits - $500 Any Way to Extend Expiry?

I know I had several years to use it but $500 of my Virgin Future Flight credit will expire end of this year 2023 and can only be used according to Virgin for bookings till the end of the year. Is there any updates on what can be done? Can it be extended either with payment or reduction in credit with a well worded communique to the right person or company?

Or the only way is to book a flight before the end of the year?

I’ve read Redeem travel credits and will contact customer service as well. I see their are some for sale in the classifieds section.

    Some have been extended until 2025 but it depends on when the ticket was issued.

    If you cannot use it by the end of year, perhaps you can try selling it on ozbargain classified?

    Think you'll find that means to make a booking, not to fly by the end of the year. So book a trip!

      Thanks. Sorry I forgot to put it it has to be booked by the end of the year for a flight by the end of the year.

        Ahhh yes, FFC you do need to travel by the end of the year. Yikes! Just looked at the website.

        Ok then, If you want to roll the dice, I haven't tried it myself, but you could use the credit to book a fully refundable ticket, then cancel the ticket. You should get a new credit with a new expiry.

        Heard of people doing that, but again YMMV. I guess if you're not going to fly anyway, give it a shot!
