      Self assessed and listed on TGA has nothing to do with Australian Standards AS/NZS 1716:2012. Like what the-fuzz said, N95 (NIOSH) is not recognized in AS/NZS 1716, the closest equivalent will be P2. Hence it's dodgy for the rep to claim this N95 as meeting the standard when there's no N95 standard in AS/NZS 1716.

      TGA allowed n95 due to shortage during COVID - n95 is the US standard (NIOSH)

      So? Masks are not effective at preventing the wearer from catching it. They have far more downsides than upsides.

  I'd like some comfortable N95/P2/KN94 masks that have head straps rather than ear loops. I currently buy the 3M Aura and they're great but expensive.

  N95 earloop masks hurts my ears when worn for long periods.
  Sure, you can remove and put them on more easily, but if you want it a tight fit around your face, good luck to the ears.

  Much prefer N95 masks that loop around the head.
