Baseus has dropped the price 10% that then stacks with the current eBay codes for a handy discount to the regular selling price. It supports either SATA or NVMe SSDs, which is handy if you have legacy SSDs you'd like to put to good use. It also utilises UASP, so should afford better read/write speeds.
There are cheaper options if you don't care too much about data transfer speeds but personally, I'm happy to pay a little extra for something that'll give me years of service. I've got a range of enclosures for HDDs and SSDs that have lasted me the better part of a decade and when I'm transferring large amounts of data if I'm upgrading devices, I appreciate the extra speed.
How do you know it will provide years of service when the chipset isn't listed?
I recently got one of these https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005005977099067.html on Choice Day for USD9.20 with the JMS583 chipset and it's been fine for my usage. Wanted a RTL9210b but the JMS583 has been going well under Linux and Windows.
