Google Play Store Issue Since Setting up Ukrainian YouTube Premium Family

Hey all, I created a new Google account for the purpose of signing up to a YouTube Premium Family membership via the Ukraine.
That all went well and I then added our daily Google accounts to the family group and we are all getting YouTube Premium, happy days.

One weird issue that has popped up now is it seems certain apps from the Play store are now completely blocked. I first noticed it with 'The Lott' app.

If I try and access that app through the Play Store on my phone it says it is unavailable or If I try and access it via my browser while signed in to my Google account I get the following: https://imgur.com/a/ZOYn7Sp

If I drop to incogneto, the same link loads just fine.

So it appears by joining up to the Ukranian family group it has blocked access to certain age restricted apps on my main Aussie account.. The Lott and Sportsbet are two that I've noticed thus far.

I can live with this of course, but just seeing if anyone else has come across this or has any suggestions on how to resolve this.

Cheers and seasons greetings!

Yes, certain things are restricted and unable to be installed depending on what country you're "located" in.

  • Can't you just download it outside of google play?

You are Ukrainian so why would you want Aus lotto apps?

    • Well my Father's Brother's Nephew's Cousin's Former Roommate is in the Ukraine, but I was hoping my old Australian Google account wan't going to be effected but it's not the end of the world if it is.

Create a new Google Account in Aus and have it linked. Switch to the Aus account when using the play store and downloading stuff.

Bit of a pain but worth it to save mula every month.

    • I do this, annoying, but works

    • Thanks I just saw this, I will do that

  • How much do you save each year to be nuisanced like this?

    • +2

$77.04 via Ukraine per year which might fluctuate with exchange rates.
      $395.88 via AU

I'll cop the inconvenience of this for that saving

      • Yeah that's fair haha. Big save. Is there any chance of losing the backed up data at all by doing it this way? I think that's what I'm worried about.

    • It's been $4-6 a month for a family via India or Turkey or others. If you have a get the 5 other family members to pay for their spot it works out to be about $12 a year per person.

It's $33 a month in Australia for a family and $16 for an individual.

  • Do any of my fellow Ukrainian residents also have Google One as well as YouTube premium?
I'm up for renewal on each but would ideally like to remove the Ukrainian payment profile in order to revert the family members Play Store region back to Australia. Anyone know if this is possible or have any ideas?
The main issue once the payment profile is removed would be YouTube premiums subscription ending as it is monthly compared to Google One's annual renewal.
