Very good deal, it would normally be like 100$+ dollars for them individually

Honestly not my favourite series (I find its the opposite of what I like in a writing of a fantasy book) but it is critically aclaimed and is one of the more successful/popular series.

The download is a Epub file.

This is by far and away my favourite series of books. Be warned it is VERY large and complex with dozens of main characters and intertwined plot lines set over massive timescales. It is not an easy read. The only problem is that they drop you straight into the action with no explanation of the characters, their histories, how magic or the gods all work. It's not like the Hobbit or Wheel Of Time series where you start in a little village and get introduced to the characters and plot over time. This makes the first book doubly difficult to get through (reputedly only 50% of people complete the first book). But its depth and complexity rewards re-reads, I am on my fifth(sixth?) read of the entire series. It may not be for everyone, but it is IMHO the best fantasy series.

    • Yep, this… i listened to the series in audio format so a little easier if you can concentrate but it is quite full on .. still i did go through the 17 books and they were quite good once you got into it … :)

  • Amazing series. Highly recommend if you like complex, gritty fantasy.

  • If only it was the audiobook version

I found the following website very helpful when reading these books: https://www.tor.com/series/malazan-reread-of-the-fallen/

One person has read the series multiple times and the other is a first time reader. They discuss each chapter and the experienced guy answers the noobs questions. For a book series that is very light on descriptions and explanations it helped a lot to understand what the hell is going on.

  • I found this quite hard to read to, am quarter of the way through thr first book and jeez its tough

  • Thanks for this OP - look forward to reading over Xmas holidays.
