Apparently the game has had a price tag of $45.99

About the game

Merging sports with first-person shooters, Pulseball is a fast-paced, competitive multiplayer game. Now with better netcode than Halo Master Chief Collection!

With the easy to learn controls, anyone can learn how to play right away. The game is simple, run around in first-person and shoot the ball with your pulse gun to move it and score goals. Both the ball and your gun have realistic physics which allows you to bank shots off the walls, the ceiling, or even other players to help you win.

Pulseball currently has 2 different maps, and single-player training as well as a few multiplayer modes.

    • +1

Well I don't know about that price tag. That's what it shows on Steam. But Free it's wonderful ..

  • +4

Since we are talking about free games. Because this one didn't have a previous price tag and I don't want to post it in forum as no one will see it.

    Postmouse

Looks a fun free game. Graphics look good.

    About the game

Join Postmouse on their very first journey to deliver mail in a treacherous world unfit for a tiny mouse. Explore the ruins, meet charming characters and solve puzzles on your way through an abandoned mansion in this free, student-made adventure - all in one small mouse-sized package!

  • I don't think you're meant to be having this. Couldn't Steam just yank it from your account after they discover this error. The Puseball game page on Steam itself clearly shows a price of $45.99 with no way to get it for free. It's not being given away for free by the game publisher otherwise it would show as free on the game page. Therefore this hackery to obtain this for free doesn't guarantee you'll get to keep it because it's not authorised by the game publisher. You're essentially stealing it through a flaw in the system. The game publisher won't like that.

    • Duh

    • It says it's free on the steam store

      But it looks terrible 😆

      • -1

But when you click on it to go the game page it then shows $45.99 with the add to cart button right next to the price. And in the cart itself it does show the price as $45.99. So this makes me to believe that there's an error showing free in the search directory. It's not meant to be given away for free at all to any one.

        • It definitely is ,. Look at the game , it looks like absolute trash

Making people think.they are getting $45.game for free is probably the only way the dev could get people to play this steaming heap

  • +1

More like (Was $4.99) got dizzy and nauseous just watching the demo

  • +11

Both the gun and the arm models and animations look like the default FPS templates (?) from Unreal Engine

Also the reviews mention ads, game breaking bugs, lacks polish, not worth even it’s free.

  • Wait, so what’s special about the 448832 number in the JavaScript?

EDIT: Oh wait, it’s the SubID, according to SteamDB.

So why does the code trick Steam into thinking we own the game? Could we replace the SubID to claim other games as well?

Deal link goes to the Steam page instead of the actual link to get the game for free.

    • +2

You haven't read the post properly.

      • Sure I did:

"This one you can't claim it on the Steam page"
        "via SteamDB on PC" (link)

I'm just pointing out that the link does not go to the freebie - for desktop or mobile.

  • Getting Bullet Ball from Dragon's Den vibes for this lol

  • -1

Just wait. Steam likely will yank this from your account when this error is discovered. There's nothing to indicate that the game publisher is giving this game away for free to the public. Even the game page itself lists a price at $45.99 and it also shows as so in the shopping cart. It if aint showing as free via the game page then it's aint for free from the publisher.

    • +2

There's nothing to indicate that the game publisher is giving this game away for free to the public.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The price will not change. Pulseball will always be free to play, never pay to win.”

      • -1

If it's always free to play. Then why is there an add to cart button with a $45.99 price from the actual game page?. With no way to get it for free from there. That's not free to play.

I don't understand OzB's obsession with free trash on Steam.

    Early access for three years
Estimated proper release was two years ago
No updates in over two years
Early access info lists the game as being free forever
Game is straight up incomplete shit

    • And yet there's a price of $45.99 on the game page. I guess the game publisher had since changed their mind about the free forever.

    • You may think it's trash, others may actually enjoy it.
What do you have to lose for installing and playing a free game? If you don't enjoy it, stop playing it?

Personally, I'd be pissed if I paid the 'Original' price-tag for this game to then find out the game is 'Trash'

This is one of those games that you get from Steam key loot crates, as they are offered on second hand key reseller websites. There's a whole industry churning paid games that nobody would ever buy, just so that they can be resold in in these loot boxes.

  • Jesus Christ, just tried it out. The above downvoters were actually being incredibly nice to the game.
