This is a good deal if you can get the price beat. Not as good at the $409 deal in April, but cheapest I've seen since.

Is there some suggested starter pack of material (?) to go with this? Like a sampler pack or something? Misso mentioned it would be cool to have one of these but not sure where to start
Just start with standard vinyl, maybe some cars stock to get used to the process and software.
There are a few samples in the box - vinyl, heat transfer vinyl and some white cardstock. They were all cricut smart materials so no cutting mat was needed. Most places sell the cricut smart materials starter pack with vinyl, transfer tape, tools and pens which is good place to start.

Nice one. Just a heads up there is a bug with the latest software, if you are using metric in settings and a piece of material less than 63cm long it will say you don't have enough material. You just need to change to imperial and it will cut.
