Boost Mobile low data warning SMS

I just received this SMS from Boost

Hi, your Activation Data is running low. Check your data balance in the Services tab in the My Boost app <condensed url>

I bought the 12 month plan a couple months ago with cash rewards. I know I've hardly used the data. So I log in via the app, not the supplied link, and everything seems normal. I've only used 5GB of the 170GB as per the app and expected.

Boost doesn't appear active on Twitter to query them. Have they been hacked? Is that a spoof SMS? It appeared in the same thread as legit Boost sms.

Anyone else receive something similar?

    The SMS is real.

    The data you receive is broken into 2 parts that total 170GB.

    1. Core Data = 160GB
    2. Bonus Activation Data = 10GB

    You're getting the alert as you're drawing down on the bonus activation data and its triggered the system to send you an alert.

    You don't need to do anything - just carry on using the service

    I usually only use a bit of the 170gb 12 months

    Is there a way to use it really quickly in 1 week so its not wasted? LOL
