1x Adult eSaver & 1x Small Popcorn + Drink Combo $22.50 (45% discount, excl from 5pm Sat) @ Event Cinemas via Commbank Yello

260

Pretty straightforward package. I don't think you can pay via discounted GCs since the payment portal only allows credit cards.

This is issued as a voucher to redeem (which apparently takes up to one hour to be issued), so usual transaction fees will apply for online orders, and surcharges apply for VMax, 3D etc. Only condition of the ticket is that it is not redeemable after 5pm on Saturday.

The offer is technically targeted to Commbank customers, although the link appears to be generic. Edit: Per comment below, you require a CBA Debit or Credit Mastercard to complete payment.

  • Thanks OP,
I tried to buy some using citibank and nab cards and got knocked back. "You must have a CBA credit or debit card"

Thanks. I'll update the description. Explains the inability to pay with GCs as well.

  • Use Telstra Plus to get tickets for 13.50$ if you're not looking for food/drinks.

And if you're looking for food/drinks - just buy them beforehand, not at the movies. Lol

From memory, there’s a Telstra medium popcorn / drink combo for $9.95.
But Telstra plus is obviously only accessible to Telstra customers. Here’s another avenue :)

Hard to see the value here, without seeing the regular pricing.

A small popcorn and small drink, and a movie for $22.50 does not seem cheap at all.

But if a movie ticket, small drink and small popcorn is usually $30? Then I guess I can see that there is some kind of justification for this bargain.

  • We went to Event the other night the chairs were broken and 33 minutes of ads, 33 MINUTES!!!

  • popcorn and drink sizing at movies is wild. small is often baby size while any other size is huge
