Hi all! I'm in Melbourne working as student service in a public university. Been doing this for 2 years, previously was in similar role in an RTO. I'm looking to move into non-student facing, back-end admin role, not fussed about the area but preferably those with high ladder to climb in the future.
I'm not limiting myself to university/higher education, so where would you suggest me to look at aside from higher up roles from other unis in Melbourne?
Extra stats: I don't have degree (only cert IV training assessment & diploma of hospitality), don't enjoy sales role
Thanks everyone!!!
Talked to HR? Or seen any jobs you think you could do and looked at the skills required to fill the gap?
The problem with human facing admin is the human facing part is the real skill.
Lotsa options though, do a finance/bookkeeping/payroll course and move into payroll or AR/AP seems the obvious one to me. ATO could be an option too (although you get to spend a lot of time on the phone).
