There isn't an ABN for this deal. Good chance this will be unpublished.

    • International seller.

I get your point, but Blackvue also does a lot more than record video/sound, and can be used to monitor company assets/drivers. Eg you can't leave your Android phone in the car overnight to monitor accidental bumps / theft attempts etc(assuming you want to use your phone for calls etc). The price isn't spectacular though.

Marchi, units like this is meant to work like a black box. Continuous video recording, with GPS information. Some has an option to record while the car is parked so that if someone it's the car it will still be recorded for evidence.

Your comment on using the phone to record is very unpractical. It's not for the sake of recording the video but rather having that done at all times whenever you drive. I doubt your phone can record more than 8 hours of continuous footage @ 1080p.

Better buy the Power Magic Pro as well to prevent the vehicle battry from being dicharged

  • Not a great deal though. It is just a normal price from eBay. You can see more with similiar prices on eBay now.

The difference between the version II and version I seems to be mainly that the new one is supposed to cope better with the heat.

If you are considering buying one, perhaps check http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LKRPp-bW3OY and particularly the comments relating to warranty support.

Cant really expect pittasoft Aus to warranty an item brought from Korea can you? it says on the ebay ad for any warranty claims to contact them, which is fair. Being the cheapest Australian version i have seen is 339+ 15 shipping, you can buy two of these and still be ahead cost wise.

Ive already got one (ordered another two) and sits in the sun all day every day in the truck, no issues at all.

      • Yes, you're right about the warranty support. I was just drawing people's attention to someone's experience with the manufacturer.

It's interesting that you aren't have problems with heat. The guy in the youtube clip was convinced his V2 still is prone to heat problems.

Mine sits mounted on a truck windscreen, is never under cover at all, doesn't even have the slight tint at the top of the windscreen that alot of vehicles have, sits next to the weather sensor. The other day the ambient air temp was 42c, inside would of easily have been 60+ and no issues when i started it up.

Could also be the card he is using, im using a class 10 sandisk Microsd 32gb.

        • Dammit, I'm thinking about getting one now :)

        • But not now, the seller ended the listing and has no new listings.

        • They were pulled the other day as well then reinstated, Blackvue might be on the warpath.
