Hi, I'm looking to get a camera to watch over my front yard, mainly to see if anyone is stealing from my mailbox.
I don't have any power access out there, and I'm renting, so it's gotta run off solar.
I'm hoping it can connect to my wifi network so I can watch it from my phone, and I also want the footage sent to a local network storage and/or the cloud.
Stored on the camera is not much good if the thief notices the camera and breaks it, destroying the footage.
I know there is a similar thread, but they never settled on which one is best, and I've heard that the argus cameras seem good, but they have a high failure rate. And I've seen some other cameras linked that don't make it clear if they support network/cloud storage, or the resolution is too low.
Thanks
Solar Security Camera, with Network/Cloud Storage

Runs out soon Offer is valid for consumer purchases from the 1st of June 2023 until the 31st of December 2023 (inclusive).I’m quite happy with my Reolink Trackmix which I believe ticks your boxes.
eufy cam 3, has solar built in, saves to network home station(inside house) and no monthly fees.
They look pretty good, but bloody expensive. Do I need their homebase, or can I tell it to backup to my media server, or cloud? Or alternatively, send recordings to my phone?
yes Home base is required, comes with the 2 pack or 4 pack deal
Cloud storage is possible with subscription but then again, home base is still required
It might be a bit more expensive, but look at the Ring products, I think that will work best for you.
I have one of the Door Bells and very happy with it.
