Is this considered expensive? What about the kingston one at 80ish?
There are many Kingston ones. If you mean nv2, that’s also about normal these days afaik
Check few stores and seem to be cheapest one with heatsink for same brand
Yeah the nv2 is what i was referring to. Hmm ok so these prices are nothing to jump over is what i get.
Meh, pass…
The firmware update to correct the degeneration problems with these Samsung Pro's did not entirely solve the problem with my 500GB 980 Pro, which is now at 38% drive life remaining.
Back in June, I posted here that the drive that was purchased 8 months earlier had written 149.30TB with little use. I had updated the firmware by that stage and in the last 6 months it’s written another 15tb. It is now averaging around 2.5T per month compared to the 18.66T per month before the firmware upgrade, which is still too high. My old system with a 950pro wrote less than 30t in 7 years with a lot more use.
Riding the wave and getting people excited lol. This price is about right or even expensive at this point for. High end 1tb ssd
