I wonder with the announcement of GTA 6 coming in 2025 if pro versions of the consoles will release around the same time? 5 years after release of the consoles for a pro version sounds reasonable.

I bought a ps5 mid Oct, only game I've touched so far is Cyberpunk. Most other titles I've played on ps4.
PS4 Pro came out 3 years after the original PS4 but this generation does feel particularly slow and we basically lost 2 years to you know what.

Thank God, from the looks of the trailer PS5 definitely won't be playing it looking near as good as that let alone 60fps 4K. The difference between PS4, PS5 and PC for RDR2 is night and day so I honestly don't mind waiting to play it on PC only this time around. Basically my point is Rockstar doesn't allow outdated hardware of console to hold back PC release, unlike other developers.

At first you probably won't see much difference but after a few years definitely neive to think the slim won't have a performance impact when PS5 thermals are known to not be that great already.
Cooling runs hotter as processor runs cooler in this model.
It uses the same processor as ps5 has since September 2022 though….
That's right, just different cooling. Everything on the mobo is the same.
Only other differences really are easily replaceable optical drive and larger standard storage.
@illogicalerror: They changed the fan i think, or at least there have already been complaints of it being very loud now. That could just be it working overdrive due to less cooling in general though?

to be honest is not much smaller than a ps5 you might as well just get a regular ps5.

Rockstar are very smart, they release all their games mid life cycle on the console so they can get all existing owners and then capitalise on new buyers who don’t have a ps5 or xbox; and when they have plenty of stock.
