I'm guessing some of the apps for locating a lost or misplaced android are better than others? Are there any that are highly recommended, or should be avoided?

Thanks, will check it out.
Have had a bit of a play - seems pretty good. Thanks again! :)
I use Wheres My Droid - it is free and works - cant compare to anything else as its the only one I have needed…
The program works, but I can not turn on the console's Wi-FI, GPS and Bluetooth. I can only turn off the Wi-Fi only if I turned it on from my phone before this. Take a picture and the Backup are working for me.
Cerberus was completely free earlier this year but now there's a free trial in the play store that lasts one week. It's worth it though and you just need to read the reviews to see how good it is. It can locate and track your phone and has heaps of other functions too, and you can even flash a cerberus zip file that integrates the app into your rom (this requires root but is useful because it prevents cerberus from being erased even by factory reset if your phone is stolen). I don't know of any others but I've used cerberus and it's really good.
