I have Coolqiva plug-in 240V wireless door bell with 2 receivers in the house ( as I have hearing issues). Suits me ,quite loud, and has several alternative chime sequences.$36 from Amazon.
I have Jeeves answer the door
I use Eufy, bought at JB Hi-Fi. No subscription, and videos get stored on the doorbell device connected to the modem. Easy.
There was some kerfuffle in the past with Eufy not being transparent about sending data to the cloud — you need this on if you are going to get thumbnail previews (from the camera) in notifications on your phone, which makes sense, but privacy experts got worked up because it wasn't explicit in the Ts & Cs. Now I believe that's all cleared up.
What do you hope to achieve by getting a magical video doorbell that probably somewhere in the fine print allows them to record and sell your data?
