Here's the flyer I received with the offer, I assume it's targeted.
Also stacks with SAVE10 on selected products eg Southern Comfort 1L $50.40.

Looking at some of the prices for booze now surely bottleshops are going to need to start going after the government to cut taxes
Pricing is straight up lunacy here now
750ml bottle of spirit ~$50
24-can slab of the same spirit (approx 720ml) with generic cola ~$110
The cola means it should be taxed higher because reasons
Its just the taxing structure and it increases twice a year because the Govermnent is lazy and eats bags of d**k
There is the additional costs of packaging, the higher cost of freight & electricity required to store (most of these products are sold chilled) them. I agree with the point you're making but to be fair it's not just the alcopops tax.
It's only really wine where you can find good, relatively cheap booze. Even the most basic local beers are $60+ for a carton.
Don't forget most of the "craft" brewers moving to 16 in a carton instead of 24, and downsizing from 375ml to 330ml…
Or most of the "craft" brewers being bought up or just made up by Woolworths/Pinnacle Drinks.
Unfortunately the alcohol % in Southern Comfort isn't high enough to warrant buying it to distil. More efficient to just start from scratch so I actually have something I like to drink rather than cough syrup.
